SALT LAKE CITY — At Globecandy we appreciate opportunities to enjoy quality, local and organic cuisine.

Salt Lake City is host to a number of bakeries and restaurants that provide just that: delicious, high quality, and homemade food. Here is our list of the top bakeries in downtown Salt Lake City that demonstrate all of the above and are sure to satisfy.

1. Eva Bakery

155 S. Main St. Eva Bakery (Boulangerie) possesses the entire package. Organic and local ingredients are used to make artisan breads, pastries and entrées made from scratch. The food served is delightful and the French ambiance is charming and enjoyable. You won’t find a tastier coconut macaroon or chocolate croissant anywhere else. Eva’s in-house pizzas, sandwiches and salads are fresh and flavorful. Now open for dinner Thursday-Saturday, Eva’s delicious French cuisine is not to be missed.

2. Carlucci’s Bakery and Café

314 W. Broadway Located downtown near Pioneer Park, Carlucci’s takes advantage its convenient location to Salt Lake City’s Farmer’s Market. All during the Farmer’s market, Carlucci’s uses local eggs, meats, fruits and veggies to produce a tempting menu. Carlucci’s cannoli are noteworthy and one of the best in the city. Its chocolate decadence bites are amazing. Be sure to try its in-home French toast and sandwiches.

4. Tulie Bakery

863 E 700 South Tucked away in the 9th and 9th district Tulie Bakery shouldn’t be overlooked. Located on a side street, you may not notice it immediately. Get there early because they go fast.
