PROVO — Provo police have identified one of the bodies found in Provo Canyon over the weekend.
They said 41-year-old Jakub Gorowski was a native of Poland and graduated from BYU in 2001.
Investigators said he was in Utah for a visit back in 2012 when he went missing.
Police also think they know the identity of the second body found in the canyon, but have no confirmation yet. It could be weeks before investigators receive the results from DNA tests, they said.
Personal items found in a nearby backpack helped investigators identify Gorowski.
