SALT LAKE CITY – A woman who is accused of stabbing a man who allegedly stole cocaine from her has been identified.
Monday afternoon, a man reportedly stole crack cocaine from Dina Eldridge, 49, at the Road Home Shelter in Salt Lake, police said. Eldridge allegedly stabbed the man, causing an 8-inch long and 2-inch deep cut.
Eldridge was then knocked down in the street, and the man proceeded to kick her, according to police.
When police arrived, both Eldridge and the man were uncooperative, police reported. The man was sprayed with pepper spray.
Eldridge was arrested and booked on suspicion of aggravated assault.
The male, who has not been identified, was admitted to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to be arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault on an EMS personnel and resisting arrest upon his release.
