SALT LAKE CITY — A parole officer in Salt Lake County has been charged with having sexual relations with a fugitive from justice.
Cori Price, 42, rekindled her 20-year-old friendship with a man who was on parole supervision in California until Aug. 5, according to charges filed in 3rd District Court.
The man came to Utah to visit Price in mid-June. They had sexual relations and the man moved in with Price in Salt Lake County, charging documents state.
Police arrested and booked the man into the Iron County Jail on July 8 for investigation of being a fugitive from justice.
During the man's time in jail, between July 8 and July 29, Price allegedly spoke with the man multiple times on the phone. In their conversations, she acknowledged that she knew the man was on parole in California, according to prosecutors.
Price later admitted that she began a sexual relationship with the man in mid-June, the charges state.
Price, an Adult Probation and Parole officer, was charged with custodial sexual relations, a third-degree felony.
