PRICE — Utah Highway Patrol troopers are trying to determine what led to a head-on crash Monday that left a Price woman dead.

The crash happened on U.S. 6 just before 8 a.m. when a Toyota Camry driven by Kelly F. Wise crossed into oncoming traffic on the East Price Interchange and hit a Nissan Rogue with three people inside, according to UHP Sgt. Todd Royce.

Wise, 51, was not wearing a seat belt and died in the crash, Royce said. The people in the Nissan were all restrained and suffered minor injuries, the sergeant said.

Investigators have ruled out weather conditions as a factor in the crash, which closed the highway for several hours. It's still unclear whether distracted driving, a medical emergency or some other cause may have contributed to the wreck, Royce said.

"They're still looking into that," he said.
