SALT LAKE CITY — Utahns helped save more than 360 cats and dogs at the State Fair Park on Saturday and Sunday.
Best Friends hosted its bi-annual Pet Super Adoption event. There were more than 800 animals from shelters and rescue groups from all over Utah.
"The majority of Americans don't know that more than 9,000 animals die in American shelters every single day simply because they don't have a home to live in," said Temma Martin of Best Friends Animal Society.
Animal shelters and rescue groups in Utah have saved more than 10,000 animals in the past 14 years.
