SALT LAKE CITY — Detectives were looking Friday for a gunman involved in a drive-by shooting that left two men injured Thursday night.
About 11:40 p.m., two men were sitting on the grass at 150 W. Fremont Ave., when a white minivan pulled up to a curb near the men, said Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan.
A passenger fired a gun out of the vehicle's window, striking each man in the leg with one bullet, the men told police. Police spoke with a witness who confirmed the account, McGowan said. Both men were taken to local hospitals.
Gang detectives were investigating the case on Friday, McGowan said.
