SUMMiT COUNTY — County Sheriff's netted 145 pounds of marijuana Friday and Saturday in two separate traffic stops.

On Friday, a sheriff's deputy working with the DEA Interdiction Unit stopped a car near Silver Creek Junction. After smelling marijuana, the deputy searched the vehicle and brought in a drug sniffing dog. The deputy found 40 pounds of marijuana, pot brownies and several thousand dollars in cash, as well as firearms.

26-year-old Tyler Herring from Oklahoma was arrested for investigation of "numerous" drug-related felonies and possessing a firearm as a restricted person.

On Saturday, deputies on routine patrol near Wanship stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Another drug-sniffing dog indicated that marijuana was in the vehicle, and after a search, 104 pounds of marijuana was seized from the trunk of the vehicle.

Wisconsin resident Stephen Roundou, 55, was arrested for investigation of several drug-related felonies and misdemeanors.
