SALT LAKE CITY - Utah basketball has signed transfer Jarred DuBois from Loyola Marymount, head coach Larry Krystkowiak announced Monday. The 6-foot-3 point guard will join the Utes with one year of eligibility remaining and will be able to play immediately due to his upcoming graduation from LMU.

"Jarred is a very talented guard that will bring a great skill set both offensively and defensively, along with a high level of experience and solid leadership skills," said Krystkowiak. "I feel strongly that he can be a difference maker not only on our team but within the Pac-12 as well."

DuBois stamped his name all over the LMU record books, reaching the Top 25 in several statistical categories despite playing only three full seasons as his junior year was cut short due to injury. In 96 career games, DuBois scored 1,139 points to rank 23rd all-time at LMU. He also ranks fourth in career 3-pointers made (148), fifth in free throw percentage (.844), 15th in 3-point FG percentage (.365), 15th in steals (117), 17th in assists (233), 21st in assists average (2.4) and 22nd in free throws made (259).

DuBois was the fourth-leading scorer for the Lions this season, posting 10.1 points per game to go with 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest. He knocked down a team-best .875 mark (56-of-64) at the free throw line and helped LMU to a quarterfinal appearance in the College Invitational Tournament. DuBois was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team in 2008-09 and was a preseason all-WCC choice in 2009-10.

DuBois will graduate from LMU with a degree in Communications and will enroll in graduate school at Utah.
