SALT LAKE CITY -- Junior College transfer Terrance Cain is now getting "equal" time with the first team at Utah's fall camp.

Cain is splitting snaps with true freshman Jordan Wynn who was named the number one quarterback last week.

That designation allowed Wynn the majority of snaps with the first team beginning last Friday, but Cain has worked himself back into contention.

"I'm just gonna keep on working hard. I mean, nothing is guaranteed right now. I mean, Jordan keep working hard, Corbin keep working hard, I'm gonna keep working hard. We're just gonna keep on working hard for the team," Cain said.

Last week, head coach Kyle Whittingham said, "We have not named a starter. It's a chance to sort things out and get some continuity with the ones and twos and so forth. That is our starting point. Nothing is etched in stone." The University of Utah will close out its fall camp with two scrimmages.

The Utes will wrap up fall camp this week with two scrimmages.

The first scrimmage is scheduled for Tuesday morning, August 18. The final scrimmage will be held Saturday, August 22.

School begins on August 24, signaling the end of the preseason.

The Utes open up the season against Utah State on Thursday, September 3.
