SALT LAKE CITY — BYU QB Taysom Hill says any rumors that he has re-injured his surgically repaired knee or suffered a new injury during the offseason are just that: rumors.

Hill participated in the annual Liberty Mutual Golf Tournament in support of kidney patients across Utah and Idaho at the Salt Lake Country Club.

When asked by KSL's Rod Zundel about the rumors, he said they weren't true.

"I've heard it all," Hill said about the rumors. "No, I'm feeling good, healthy and ready to go."

Hill played six games as a true freshman in 2012 and led the Cougars to a 2-0 record in his two starts at quarterback.

He completed 42 of 71 passes for 425 yards and four touchdowns, rushing 55 times for 336 yards and four scores before suffering a season-ending knee injury late in a 6-3 win over Utah State.

He had surgery to repair the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee and was able to participate in spring football.

Rumors started to spread that Hill had re-injured his knee, but Monday while playing 18 holes of golf he put those rumors to rest.

"It's healthy. I'm ready to go," he said. "If we were to play tomorrow I'd be ready to go."

BYU opens the 2013 season at Virginia on Aug. 31.
