BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A former Connecticut high school teacher has pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges involving one of his female students.
The Connecticut Post reports (http://bit.ly/1FkwlDR ) that 49-year-old Glenn Mishuck pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree sexual assault Friday during jury selection for his trial.
The plea bargain calls for him to serve 18 months to 3½ years in prison. Sentencing is set for Aug. 7.
Police alleged Mishuck had sexual relations with a 17-year-old girl 17 times while he was a teacher and she was a student at Fairfield Ludlowe High School in Fairfield. He was arrested in October 2013 after police say the girl's father discovered text messages between his daughter and Mishuck.
Mishuck and his lawyer declined to comment Friday. He remains free on bail.
