POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — A Chubbuck man has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to bank robberies in Idaho and Utah.
The Idaho State Journal reports that Randy Ted Jordan pleaded guilty Thursday to two bank robberies.
Prosecutors say Jordan robbed a Chubbuck branch of the Idaho State University Credit Union in July 2014 and an Ogden, Utah branch of the Bank of Utah in August 2014. In Idaho he showed employees a handgun before demanding money from the drawers. In Ogden he said he had an explosive device.
Jordan also agreed that the court could use bank robberies in Coeur d'Alene, and West Jordan, Utah in sentencing on August 11.
Bank robbery is punishable by up to 25 years of imprisonment, and a fine of up to $250,000.
