LOGAN, Utah (AP) — A 46-year-old Utah chiropractor made his initial court appearance to charges accusing him of creating false medical records and filing multiple insurance claims for services he never provided.
Jace H. Ferguson of Hyde Park has been charged with racketeering, filing fraudulent insurance claims, and communications fraud, all felony offenses.
The (Logan) Herald Journal reports (http://tinyurl.com/nvrsrzs) he appeared in 1st District Court in Logan on Wednesday and his preliminary hearing was set for March 16.
State prosecutors say they started investigating after receiving complaints from two women who say they received several weeks of treatment from Ferguson following a car accident in spring 2013.
