ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and Zoo Atlanta are teaming up to honor the state's Pre-K program next month.
Zoo Atlanta officials say they are offering discounted rates for Georgia's Pre-K classes from October 6 through 10. Self-guided field trips will be offered for $9 per person, and chaperones will be admitted for free.
Officials say special activities are planned including costume characters, storybook readings and a bird show.
Interim Department Commissioner Amy Jacobs says she is very appreciative of the partnership and looks forward to seeing many classes at the zoo.
