SALT LAKE CITY -- A woman charged with murdering an elderly man in his downtown apartment earlier this year pleaded guilty to one count of murder Thursday.

Prosecutors say Joy Lynn Adams broke into 69-year-old Adolf Neal's apartment near 300 East and 100 South on Jan. 27, stabbed him in the neck, then fled the scene.

Several witnesses identified Adams as being in the apartment at the time of the crime; she was arrested that same night.

Adams faces 15 years to life in prison for the crime.
