The former head of the Utah Highway Patrol's anti-DUI squad pleaded guilty today to charges of drunken driving.
Fred Swain was arrested for drunken driving back in June 2006 after he crashed his patrol car into a barrier on Bangerter Highway. Today he pleaded guilty in 3rd District Court to one charge of alcohol-related reckless driving.
A judge sentenced him to 12 months probation and a fine.
