(Photo courtesy UDPS)EUREKA -- One Eureka man is dead and another is on life support following a series of motorcycle accidents Tuesday night.
The Utah Highway patrol says 31-year-old Jeremy Goodman, 49-year-old Darby Sharp and a third person were riding their motorcycles on U.S. Highway 6, just outside of Eureka.
Around 11:45 p.m., Goodman lost control on a curve and crashed into a grassy shoulder. He was thrown from his motorcycle and skidded several feet before hitting a cedar post and barbed wire fence.
Goodman was transported to University Hospital, where he is on critical condition and on life support.
After Goodman crashed, Sharp went back toward Eureka to get help. He took a turn too fast, lost control and hit a rock embankment.
Sharp sustained fatal injuries in the crash and died at the scene.
UHP says neither biker was wearing a helmet. Troopers are now investigating to determine if alcohol played a factor in the accidents.
