SALT LAKE CITY — KSL has been highlighting mental illness during the National Mental Illness Awareness Week.
Studies show that 1 in 4 adults have a mental illness, and 1 in 10 children have a mental illness.
Michael Newman works with the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and he joined KSL on Thursday to give advice on resources for mental illness.
And a National Mental Illness Awareness walk will take place Saturday, Oct. 19 at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City.
