Ashley Moser

Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Ashley Moser proudly calls Utah home, proving you can take the girl out of the island, but not the island out of the girl.
An Emmy Award–winning journalist, she anchors Sunday evening newscasts alongside Dan Rascon and firmly believes trusted local journalism matters more than ever in a world where truth can be hard to discern.
Ashley’s passion for storytelling began early. Her mother was a television journalist in Hawaiʻi, and her earliest memories include time spent in the newsroom listening to police scanners.
A graduate of BYU’s Broadcast Journalism program, she co-anchored KBYU Eleven News and hosted BYU Weekly on BYUtv.
Her career has taken her from newsrooms in Toledo, Ohio and Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, to more than a decade at KSL, where she has covered major events including the Rio Olympics, California wildfires, the NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, and impactful documentaries on mental health.
Off-camera, Ashley’s greatest influence is her husband and three children, who continue to shape her perspective and strengthen her storytelling. Whether through family time, cooking onolicious grindz, carpool conversations, or the occasional trip to Disneyland, Ashley values the moments that keep her grounded and connected to the people and stories she serves.
