SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Brigham Young earned an eighth seed to the NCAA tournament and will be playing the ninth seed, Texas A&M.
The two teams will play in the West region in Anaheim, Calif.
BYU is one of only two teams from the Mountain West Conference to make the tournament.
BYU won the regular season title, but lost in the conference tournament to UNLV. UNLV won the conference's automatic bid to the tournament.
