The Ptarmigan is a rare upland game bird in the lower 48 states, but Utah has some in the Uinta Mountains living a 11,000 feet. In this episode, we backpack 14 miles in to hunt these elusive, beautiful birds.

Plus, we fish for cutthroat and tiger trout at high-alpine lakes.
