An organization that first opened its doors in 1924, the Young Automotive Group's knowledge of the industry is extensive. That's why after seeing innovations in the electric vehicle market over the last 20 years, they're saying it's time to believe.

"The electric vehicle market has seen extreme growth over the last five years," Oliver Young, chief operations officer at the Young Automotive Group said. "It's sparked a change in the automotive landscape and has made now the perfect time to buy an EV."

Controversies around short ranges have plagued electric vehicles for years. A 2019 statement from the vehicle technologies office of the Department of Energy reported that 2018 model-year electric vehicles had an average range of 125 miles. That number, however, grew to 234 miles in 2021.

While the department has not released a 2023 report, machines like the Hyundai Ioniq 6 reach 361 miles per charge.

These extended ranges and exceptional cab technologies have changed electric vehicles from being a niche option into the savvy choice of the modern driver.

"What makes today's modern electric vehicle market phenomenal is the variety," Young said. "This isn't like a few years ago where a few manufacturers were making great EVs. Now, almost everyone makes one, and almost everyone makes a great one."

The Young Automotive Group currently has over 200 electric vehicles in their dealership's lots. With inventory including crossover SUVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, sports sedans like the Audi Q8 and trucks like the GMC Hummer EV, the group has something for every type of driver.

With demand for electric vehicles rising, the Young Automotive Group has also trained their technicians to operate on battery-powered machines. Mechanics at the Young Ford Ogden location are now certified to work on vehicles like the F-150 Lightning and E-Transit-350.

In addition to offering electric vehicles and maintenance, Young Automotive provides a turnkey service to assist customers as they care for their machines at home. The group works with Car Charging Pros to install level 2 chargers in customers' homes.

"At the Young Automotive Group, we strive to deliver an exceptional customer experience," Young said. "This means not only treating our customers with respect but having the knowledge and resources that put them in the best position."
