Utah may not have as many people living in its borders as other states, but the communities that make up the Beehive State are what make it special. As of September 2026, there are 257 incorporated cities and towns throughout the state, according to the Utah League of Cities and Towns.

Heber City

Heber City is one of Utah's hidden gems — though it's not staying hidden much longer. Just shy of 20,000 residents, Heber is a small city with growing numbers. From 2020-2025, the population grew more than 16%, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
