GRANNY POT

Not every story hits the front page... some are buried... some are left on the Cutting Room Floor.

Like, a 62-year-old Arizona grandmother sentenced to three years in prison and a 150- thousand dollar fine.

What did she do?

Arizona police found 214 pounds of marijuana stuffed into the trunk of her car... and prosecutors say it was to support her... bingo habit.

She claims her innocence and says she was unaware of the grass in the car.

She says her son's godfather had borrowed her car the day before.

Her lawyer says she'd been used as a "blind mule" to unknowingly haul drugs.

BAGGY SUSPECT

For a lot of kids these days... baggy pants are in.

And in Louisiana... those baggy pants helped police bag a 16-year old robbery suspect.

Police say the teen had gotten away several times before, but this time... his baggy pants fell down... causing him to stumble as officers chased him.

The Lieutenant said, "We literally caught him with his pants down."

DOG EATING PYTHON

What's long enough to span the width of a tennis court and as thick as a tree trunk?

How about a 23-foot python that has swallowed at 11 guard dogs in a fruit orchard in Malaysia.

The orchard-keeper couldn't figure out what was happening to the dogs until villagers discovered the snake.

But they didn't kill the snake.

They tied it to a tree and then handed it over to wildlife officials.

It's that new leash-a-snake program... you know.

TRAILER PETS

How many animals can you fit into a mobile home?

One 68 year old Michigan woman managed to cram 66 cats and dogs.

The animals, 39 adult dogs, 14 puppies and 13 cats, were found caked in fecal matter.

The floors and furniture inside the doublewide trailer were covered with up to three inches of animal waste.

Authorities describe the owners as animal lovers who were simply overwhelmed.

The mother and daughter became used to having their clothing, especially the lower parts of their pants, covered in feces.

The women shared a bed covered with animal waste.

And protected themselves from the filth by wearing heavy jackets and pants at night.
