This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

Willie Holdman has an eye for detail and for beauty. He also has a passion for the natural wonders found right here in Utah. Willie used his skills to become a respected landscape photographer best known for his work depicting the dramatic sites found in the state.

Becoming a photographer was a natural choice for Willie and came as a direct result of observing his father work as a National Geographic photographer. As a child, Willie accompanied him on photo assignments throughout the country and he enjoyed being outdoors and experiencing the wonders of nature. While pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree at BYU, Willie would often slip out to photograph rural areas of Utah. This became the basis for Holdman Photographs, which launched in 1998.

Holdman Photographs, headquartered in Midway, specializes in Utah landscape photography from the intimate details of nature to the grandiose rugged Wasatch Mountains of the north to the red rock canyons and expansive plateau vistas of the south. Willie's art is available for purchase as individual photographic prints through his Web site, willieholdman.com. If some of Willie's prints look familiar to you, it's probably because several have been licensed for use on calendars, postcards, in marketing materials, in the Salt Lake City International Airport, and as part of the series of images for the 2002 Olympics that were held in Salt Lake City.

Willie tells me one of his specialties has been his images of Mount Timpanogos. While growing up in Lindon, he came to love the majestic peak and has taken thousands of images of it. After compiling some of his best photographs, he published a book two years ago that received rave reviews.

Holdman Photographs offers images from all over the world, but Willie says Utah will always be his emphasis.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
