You probably have all the party supplies you need to create this statement ceiling.
Talk about show-stopping. With classic party decor like paper chains, streamers and balloons, you can create a "wow" ceiling. Lauren Schwartz shared some practical tools to help you pull off a statement party ceiling.
Making Easy Paper Chains
Paper chains are the base layer to this party project and add movement and color. Lauren said to vary the sizes and colors for maximum effect. She also gave the ultimate time saving hack: don't cut all the paper strips yourself. Take your paper into a paper goods store and they can cut all the strips for you.
How to Hang
Lauren said there's no need to use nails. She just used command strips and hooks! She also tied with ribbon and kept the spacing loose for layering later.
Add Volume With Balloons
Instead of traditional balloon shapes, Lauren blows them up big and squishes them to make a nice, round ball. She said you don't even need helium. Just use glue dots to attach the balloons to the ceiling.
Adding Ribbon and Streamers
Lauren likes to hang ribbons from chains or hooks and use thicker materials, like velvet, for contrast. She also said to let them drape at different lengths. The layers are what add to the "wow" factor
