Healthier snacks are having a moment, and getting easier to find!
From high-protein picks to treats that are better-for-you, healthy snacking is having a moment. Even candy is getting a nutritious makeover! KSL Lifestyle Contributor Mindy Dunyon shared some of the best options worth trying.
Shameless Snacks Gummy Candy Variety Pack, $23
This candy has a high fiber content, 93% of the daily recommended amount and it's low sugar. While fiber offers many benefits, consuming a large amount in one sitting may lead to digestive issues in some individuals. They suggest going slow and gradually increasing your fiber intake over a few weeks to adjust.
Solely Organic Mango Whole Fruit Gummies, $4.57
These fruit snacks have one ingredient: mango. They come in a whole fruit gummy variety and there's also a faux jerky that's kind of like a fruit leather. They're naturally sweet, so no sugar is added. This is a great alternative to fruit gummies or candy for kids.
The Only Bean Crunchy Dry Roasted Edamame Beans Variety Pack, $14
These dry roasted edamame beans are so much better for you than chips. They're plant-based, low carb and have 13 grams of protein per serving.
Siete Grain Free Chips, $3.89
These chips are made of simple ingredients: potatoes, avocado oil, white vinegar and sea salt. Plus, they're not greasy.
Lesser Evil Organic Pink Himalayan Salt Popcorn, $5.69
This popcorn contains just three ingredients: organic, non-GMO popcorn, coconut oil and Himalayan salt.
Chobani Low-Fat Greek Yogurt Drink, $2.30
This drink has 20 grams of protein. Many high-protein yogurts taste either too thick, too chalky or both. This drink goes down smoothly and Mindy said she never would have suspected it was high protein if she didn't see the label.
