There's no shortage of fun activities to be had in Utah's summers, but lounging out to great music with delicious food in hand, surrounded by some of the state's best scenery, is pretty much unbeatable. Snowbasin's Blues, Brews & BBQ is quickly becoming one of Utah's most popular outdoor concert series and for good reasons.

Located at Snowbasin Resort, the concert venue is second-to-none. Nestled on the backside of the Wasatch range and just below the famous Mt. Ogden peak, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better way to spend your Sunday afternoons in July.

The concert series has already begun, and with the promise of cooler mountain temperatures, great music and award-winning food and drinks, you're not going to want to miss it.

It's closer than you think

If you've never been to Snowbasin then you should know it's closer than you think — and it's one of the most scenic drives in the state.

For reference, Snowbasin is located about 45-minutes north of Salt Lake City, 20 minutes outside of Ogden, and just about an hour from Park City and Cache Valley. Gates open at 11 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.

Dog and family-friendly atmosphere

All concerts are outdoors, located near Earl's patio on the lawn. Don't worry if you don't know where that is, it's easy to find. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair while you relax and listen to incredible live music.

Snowbasin is a dog-friendly resort, so bring your furry friends! Just remember to keep them on a leash and clean up after them.

Great food and brews

While you're relaxing out on the lawn listening to the music, be sure to grab yourself some delicious, award-winning BBQ from Earl's Lodge (view the menu here). Pair it with one of the top-notch local brews available, and you've got yourself the perfect recipe for a good time.

If you want to save some money, you can purchase a 2022 Snowbasin collectible and refillable beer stein for $30, which includes the first draft beer. Refills are $12.50 throughout the 2022 summer at any Blues, Brews & BBQ, and other Snowbasin events through the end of the year, including SnowWiesn, Snowbasin's Oktoberfest-themed festival featuring live music, brews and Bavarian food.

Local music for a good cause

There's a wealth of musical talent in Utah, and many national and local artists hit the stage each Sunday bringing great vibes, tunes and fun for the whole family. And while there is a charge for admission (children under 4 years old are free), a portion of all ticket sales is donated to the Ogden Valley Land Trust and GOAL Foundation to assist with their respective missions to better local communities.

Some of the upcoming concerts are:

July 17, 2022

12 – 2 p.m. – Aaron Davis & the Mystery Machine

2:30 – 4:30 p.m. – New Orleans Suspects

July 24, 2022

12 – 2 p.m. – The Damn Liars

2:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Andy Frasco & The UN

July 31, 2022

12 – 2 p.m. – Snarling Yarns

2:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble

Plus, don't miss out as live acts return every Sunday in September for SnowWiesn.

Fun activities for the whole family

Not only is there great music and food, but there is fun for the whole family to enjoy in between acts. With the Wildflower 18-hole mini-golf course, gondola rides, hikes, mountain biking, a playground and more, you can find something for everyone at Snowbasin.
