Why is this man smiling?

John McCain has taken the lead from Barack Obama in the presidential race. The USA Today-Gallup Poll shows McCain now ahead, 50 percent to 46 percent. That puts the Republican's lead beyond the margin of error. The survey was taken from Friday to Sunday, after the Republican National Convention, and indicates the Minnesota gathering gave him a substantial bounce. Obama had a seven-point advantage following the Democratic convention just the week before. The addition of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket prompted 29 percent of the voters surveyed to say they were more likely to vote for McCain. **Pray for the Press**The pastor of the Alaska church where Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and her family worship has asked reporters to respect his congregation's right to worship. The Reverend Larry Kroon told reporters attending Sunday's early service at Wasilla Bible Church, "This isn't the place to be fishing for interviews." He then asked the 300 congregants to pray for all of the candidates for president and vice president, and to "pray for the press" as well.
