Arson suspect in wildfire...Mosque shooting charges...Relative calm in Milwaukee

LOWER LAKE, Calif. (AP) — Officials believe a Northern California wildfire that has caused an estimated $10 million in damages and left dozens of families homeless was set. There's been an arrest on arson charges. The sheriff in Lake County says the man in custody -- Damin Anthony Pashilk -- is suspected in numerous fires in the area over the past year.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — There's been no official determination by a coroner yet on the manner of death, but there could be a seventh victim from extreme flooding in Louisiana. Authorities in East Baton Rouge Parish have confirmed that a volunteer in a boat discovered a body near a library. Flooding from off-the-chart rainfall late last week still has thousands in shelters and some streams still climbing.

NEW YORK (AP) — Charges have been filed against a man in connection with Saturday's shooting outside a New York mosque that left an imam and an associate dead. Oscar Morel was arrested Sunday night for allegedly hitting a bicyclist with his SUV. Police say that incident happened just minutes after the shooting. At a Monday memorial, some speakers said they believed the men, both Muslims, were attacked because of their religion.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Monday night has been relatively calm in Milwaukee, where a weekend fatal police shooting of a black man sparked violent unrest. Police Chief Ed Flynn says there've been six arrests Monday night, but unlike Sunday night, there've been no reports of damage or violence. The summer curfew for teens has been moved up one hour earlier to 10 p.m.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Tim Kaine has found a reason to break out his harmonica. The Democratic vice-presidential nominee wailed at a brewery in Asheville, North Carolina, after a campaign stop in the swing-state city. He played a couple of tunes including Bob Dylan's "Wagon Wheel." Earlier at a rally at a community center, Kaine criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump's decision not to release his personal tax returns.
