DALLAS (AP) — Another 300 Delta Air Lines flights have been canceled today, on top of the 1,000 that were scrubbed yesterday. The airline is struggling to recover from an outage at its Atlanta headquarters early yesterday that brought a global meltdown of its booking and communications systems. The airline is offering refunds and $200 in travel vouchers to people whose flights were canceled or delayed at least three hours.

NEW YORK (AP) — Hillary Clinton's campaign says it looks like Donald Trump is going off-script again. Trump last night, in a tweet, suggested that Clinton's emails may be responsible for the death of an Iranian nuclear scientist who was executed for spying for the United States. As he often does, Trump attributed his claim to what he says "many people are saying." A Clinton spokesman responds that "many people are saying" is equivalent to "I made this up."

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (AP) — Turkey's president says his country can repair the damage to its relationship with Russia, and develop even closer ties. The Turkish leader spoke after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. Putin says the flow of Russian tourists to Turkey will resume. The visits were stopped after the downing of a Russian jet by Turkey in November.

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Kenyan police have arrested the country's Olympics track and field manager. And they are seeking orders from a court to hold him in custody for an extra week to complete investigations. Michael Rotich was ordered to return home from the Olympics in Brazil after he was caught in a sting by reporters from Britain's The Sunday Times newspaper. The paper said Rotich offered to provide the reporters, who were posing as coaches, advance warning of doping tests in return for a $13,000 bribe.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Police say one of three people who fell from a Ferris wheel during a county fair in Tennessee suffered a head injury and remains hospitalized in serious condition. Greeneville Police Capt. Tim Davis says the other two were responsive and answering questions after falling 30 to 45 feet last night. He says the three fell when the car flipped over. The oldest was a 16-year-old girl. As for reports that the car was rocking before it flipped, Davis said police have not been able to confirm that but they are still interviewing people.
