MADRID (AP) — President Barack Obama is in the process of wrapping up his shortened visit to Spain. The president met with King Felipe VI at Spain's Royal Palace. The king thanked Obama for making the visit despite what's been happening in the United States. For his part, Obama said it was important for him to come because of America's close relationship with Spain. It's the president's first visit to Spain.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Police in St. Paul, Minnesota, used smoke bombs to clear demonstrators blocking a highway during a protest sparked by police killings of black men in Minnesota and Louisiana. The smoke was unleashed just after midnight when about 200 protesters were in the roadway as police in riot gear moved in.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Authorities in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, say prominent Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson was among those arrested during a protest. Mckesson is one of the most recognizable faces to emerge from the Black Lives Matter movement.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities say a woman and 3-year-old were injured when an Amtrak train slammed into their car at a crossing in Indianapolis. Fire officials say the woman and her child were taken to the hospital in good condition. No one on the train was injured.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A plane ended up making an unscheduled landing at Tulsa International Airport in Oklahoma after multiple passengers became sick. Delta Airlines Flight 1817 was heading to Denver from Atlanta on Saturday when it was diverted to Tulsa. The cause of the illnesses isn't known.
