WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump is blaming the news media for the controversy surrounding an anti-Hillary Clinton tweet that appeared to depict the Star of David atop a pile of cash. Trump tweeted that the "Dishonest media" is trying to depict a star "as the Star of David rather than a Sheriff's Star, or plain star". It's his first response since his official account tweeted — then deleted — the image Saturday.

The comments come as Trump blames the media for the controversy over the tweet. It's unclear where the campaign found the image. It previously appeared on a message board filled with anti-Semitic and white supremacist messages.

NEW DELHI (AP) — Investigators trying to figure out who was behind a gruesome attack that left 28 dead in Bangladesh are questioning some of the hostages who were rescued. Authorities are still holding five of the 13 hostages who survived the attack on an upscale restaurant in the capital, Dhaka. Bangladesh police say authorities will interrogate two men, including a suspected militant, who were detained during Saturday's operation.

ROME (AP) — Investigators looking into the death of a Wisconsin college student whose body was found in Rome are reportedly treating the death as a murder. Beau Solomon -- who had just arrived in Italy for an exchange program -- was found dead in the Tiber River. His brother tells a Milwaukee paper (The Journal Sentinel) that Solomon's body was found with a head wound and that thousands of dollars were charged to his credit card after he disappeared.

WILLARD, Mo. (AP) — An upstate New York woman is rejoicing over the recovery of an American flag that draped the casket of her World War II veteran father in 1969. The woman says the flag was stolen around Memorial Day from her family's campground in upstate New York. She says police in Missouri ended up finding the flag with a teen who had been visiting the campground at the time of the theft.
