BAGHDAD (AP) — Authorities in Baghdad are still searching for people missing after yesterday's deadly truck bombing on a commercial street in the Iraqi capital. They say the death toll -- which rose today to 149 -- could climb even further. It was one of the worst single bombings in more than a decade of war and insurgency in Iraq.

BRUSSELS (AP) — NATO's chief says alliance leaders this week will approve the use of NATO AWACS aircraft to assist the U.S.-led coalition fighting the Islamic State extremist group. Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg (yehnz STOHL'-tehn-burg) says he also expects the alliance summit in Warsaw to agree on a new role for NATO in the Central Mediterranean, where the European Union has deployed ships to halt human-trafficking.

LONDON (AP) — A European official is denouncing as "very cowardly" the decision by Nigel Farage to quit as leader of the U.K.'s Independence Party. Today's announcement makes Farage the third major British political figure to say he's stepping aside rather than taking ownership of the country's turbulent political future in the aftermath of the vote to leave the European Union. Luxembourg's foreign minister tells a German newspaper (Tagesspiegel) that British politicians are "withdrawing back into their snail shells."

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration and a Connecticut father and son are headed for a court showdown over whether the agency can force them to disclose information about some drones. The drones are shown in YouTube videos firing a gun and deploying a flame thrower in their backyard. Nineteen-year-old Austin Haughwout (HOW'-it) of Clinton and his father, Bret Haughwout, are refusing to comply with FAA subpoenas. Their lawyer says the subpoenas violate his clients' constitutional rights and he questions the agency's authority to regulate recreational drones.

LONDON (AP) — Roger Federer has reached his 14th Wimbledon quarterfinal, equaling the modern record set by Jimmy Connors. It's the 48th time Federer has advanced at least that far in a Grand Slam tournament. He's a seven-time champion at the All England Club, and he has not dropped a set in the tournament through four matches.
