RENO, Nev. (AP) — Detectives say an Elko woman accused of killing her husband with a carving knife 12 years ago has said that she and another man tried to encase his body in concrete when they buried him in a shallow grave. Pam Erwin was arrested Jan. 5 on murder and conspiracy charges in the death of James Erwin. The other man is in an Arizona jail awaiting extradition to face charges of accessory to murder and conspiracy.

ELKO, Nev. (AP) — A longtime northern Nevada obstetrician has sued an Elko hospital where his medical privileges have been revoked. The Elko Daily Free Press reports Dr. George Winch Jr. is suing Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital, saying the hospital spread false rumors about him. The hospital declined to comment.

SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — A 20-year-old Sparks man been arrested on charges of intentionally starting a fire in his apartment over the weekend. Sparks police say the suspect, identified as Tristan Dufurrena, was arrested near the apartment building. It's not clear if he has an attorney.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno Police have arrested three suspects after a vehicle crashed on an I-80 off-ramp while evading police. Police say the vehicle sped away after an officer tried to make a traffic stop early yesterday. The three suspects fled, but were apprehended a few hours later.
