RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Reno hospital says it will pay for an autopsy on a 20-year-old woman who died after being kept on life support for months after she failed to awake from anesthesia after surgery. The family of Aden Hailu (AY'-dehn HEHL'-oo) had gone to court to keep Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center from removing life support before she died.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Public Utilities Commission staff says arguments to stop new, higher rates for solar power customers are unlikely to prevail. One rooftop solar company says it has stopped selling panels in Nevada because of the increase. Industry and consumer protection groups have opposed the increase.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Democratic Party hopes to drive turnout and make the caucus process easier with a new online pre-registration tool. The party is unveiling Caucus Express this week. Democrats who pre-register on the mobile site will get details about their caucus location and can opt for text-message caucus updates.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The CES gadget show, which officially opens at 9:00 a.m. today in Las Vegas, has begun catering more heavily to startups hoping to break through the noise. The sprawling show has sections for wearable fitness gadgets, drones, autonomous vehicles, education, virtual reality, video games, robots, 3-D printers and smart homes.
