ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — St. George police are investigating after finding a pipe bomb strapped to the office door of a car wash. KUTV-TV reports that police were called to the Ultra Car Wash on Saturday after the owner arrived at work and found the device attached to the door. Police say they contacted the Washington County area bomb squad and the explosive was safely disposed of.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — James Harden scored 30 points and the Houston Rockets rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Utah Jazz 93-91 last night, ending their longest losing streak of the season at four games. Utah led by 15 midway through the third before Harden began to heat up. Rodney Hood led the Jazz with 23 points and matched a career high with five 3-pointers. Gordon Hayward added 20 points and seven rebounds

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah judge who had ordered a baby girl taken away from her lesbian foster parents and placed with a heterosexual couple has retired. Juvenile Court Judge Scott Johansen went under fire after he ordered a 9-month-old baby taken from the couple on Nov. 10. He later reversed the ruling and recused himself. He did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A dog that fell through ice on a Utah pond is doing well after being rescued from the cold water. Firefighters say the dog was on a walk with a woman and a child in a Herriman subdivision when it ran off to chase ducks on a man-made pond. Authorities say the animal was in the mid-30-degree water for about 15 minutes before rescue crews jumped in to save him.
