Local officials say IS militants have carried out mass killings of Iraqi security forces and civilians.
SANAA, Yemen (AP) — The Saudi-led coalition is again targeting Shiite rebels in Yemen with airstrikes. The attacks on the southern port city of Aden come after the expiration of a five-day truce, aimed at allowing humanitarian aid shipments to reach civilians who have been struggling with shortages of food, water and medicine. But the cease-fire failed to halt all fighting in Yemen, and the Shiite rebels, known as Houthis (HOO'-theez), have refused to participate in talks on Yemen's future.

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — Gasoline prices have jumped 22 cents in the past three weeks. The latest Lundberg survey puts the average price of a gallon of regular nationwide at $2.80. In a survey of cities in the Lower 48 states, Los Angeles had the highest-priced gasoline at $3.95 a gallon. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had the lowest at $2.32. Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says gasoline supplies are expected to increase and that should slow or stop the price hikes.
