LAS VEGAS (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton will focus on immigration when she makes a campaign stop Tuesday in Las Vegas. The former first lady and secretary of state will take part in a round-table discussion with Nevadans beginning at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at Rancho High School. Plans call for the Las Vegas stop to emphasize her fight to strengthen families and communities, and specifically how to change the immigration system so families can stay together.

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Assembly Republicans say they can overcome past differences and work together to pass Gov. Brian Sandoval's budget by the end of the session. Republican Majority Leader Paul Anderson says he's optimistic that the 25-member caucus will be able to band together to support a funding mechanism for the governor's $7.3 billion budget. The caucus will need to overcome personal and policy conflicts that have dominated headlines throughout the session.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say one person was wounded in an after-midnight shooting that marred a busy night on the Las Vegas Strip following the Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao boxing event. Officer Laura Meltzer said Sunday the victim's injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening following the 12:30 a.m. shooting near the Tropicana resort. An assailant wasn't identified, and no arrest was immediately made.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police are investigating an apparent fatal stabbing after a woman was found dead at a home several miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip. Officer Laura Meltzer said Sunday that patrol officers arrived at a residence on Calle Del Sol a little after 12:45 p.m. Saturday and found the woman dead with multiple stab wounds. No arrest was immediately made.
