Delaware State U shooting...Storms cut power...Serious SoCal wildfire

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Authorities in Delaware are investigating a shooting that occurred at Delaware State University during an on-campus cookout. Officials say three people suffered non-life-threatening wounds and that the shooter is still at large. Officials say the cookout was a university-sanctioned fraternity and sorority event.

HOUSTON (AP) — A utility spokesman tells the Dallas Morning News that tens of thousands of power outages were reported across the Dallas-Fort Worth area as storms packing winds approaching 90 mph swept across parts of Texas and Oklahoma. There were also reports of quarter-sized hail Saturday afternoon from central Nebraska through the plains of western Oklahoma and into Texas.

CORONA, Calif. (AP) — Officials say thick brush is fueling an out-of-control wildfire in Southern California. Crews are being hampered by difficult terrain and authorities say the fire is making its own weather, making things even more difficult. About 300 homes have been evacuated.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — A senior military commander in Iran says any nuclear agreement with world powers will not allow inspection of military sites. Iran has repeatedly said its military sites will not be open to inspection. A U.S.-released fact sheet on the framework agreement says Iran would be required to grant the U.N. nuclear agency access to any "suspicious sites."

LONDON (AP) — Britain's economy is a key issue as candidates campaign ahead of the May 7 election. Prime Minister David Cameron and his main opponent agree that's as it should be. The question is whether the patient is recovering or is still on life support. Cameron notes that inflation is down, employment is up and the economy is growing.
