SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A spring storm has dumped 2.3 inches of snow in Salt Lake City after the winter proved to be the least snowy ever recorded. This accounts for nearly 20 percent of all snow fall in Salt Lake City this winter and spring, which is now totaling 12.2 inches. Salt Lake City averages about 60 inches a year.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Girl Scouts are opening a troop at a gay pride center in Salt Lake City that officials say will welcome transgender youth and children from LGBT families. At the troop's first meeting Monday, five girls made friendship bracelets and learned the Girl Scouts handshake. The group is drawing attention in conservative Utah where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups have long struggled to find acceptance and were only recently given anti-discrimination protections.

WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. (AP) — SkyWest Airlines has announced it will soon offer jet flights between West Yellowstone and Salt Lake City to connect passengers with Delta flights. The Delta Connection flights, operated by SkyWest, will begin in June. The airline says it will run flights twice a day from Thursday through Monday and once each day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Funeral services have been scheduled for former Utah Gov. Norman Bangerter. A family spokesman says the funeral will be held at noon Saturday at the LDS Institute Building on the Salt Lake Community College in West Jordan. Bangerter died Tuesday in a Murray hospital after suffering a stroke. He was 82.
