WASHINGTON (AP) — Two weeks after being released in a Taliban prisoner exchange, Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is in the U.S. He'll be treated at an Army facility in San Antonio. He left a U.S. treatment facility in Germany late Thursday. Before his departure, a Pentagon spokesman said the military is making it a priority to make sure Bergdahl gets the care and support he needs.

BAGHDAD (AP) — U.S. officials say three planeloads of Americans are being evacuated from a major Iraqi air base in Sunni territory north of Baghdad. And Germany has urged its citizens to immediately leave parts of Iraq, including Baghdad. Fighters from an al-Qaida splinter group have seized control large areas and two key cities and security bases in northern Iraq. The jihadists have into an ethnically mixed province northeast of Baghdad and captured two towns there.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama and the first lady are will be visiting Indian Country today to get an in-person look at the often bleak conditions facing Native Americans living on tribal lands. They'll visit the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation during an annual event known as the Flag Day Celebration. The reservation straddles the border between North Dakota and South Dakota.

NEW YORK (AP) — Broadway Theaters will dim their lights on Friday night for actor and activist Ruby Dee. She has a long list of honors for her work on stage, screen and civil rights. Dee, who was married to the late Ossie Davis, died at age 91 in New Rochelle, New York.

MIAMI (AP) — The San Antonio Spurs are now just one game away from winning the NBA championship. They dominated the Miami Heat in Game 4, winning 107-86. Game 5 will be in San Antonio.
