DAYTON, Nevada (AP) — A 45-year-old Nevada pilot has died in a small plane crash near Dayton Valley Airpark about 15 miles east of Carson City. Lyon County sheriff's deputies identified the victim today as Steven Murphee of Dayton. A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman says the homebuilt plane was a single-engine BD-4. It crashed about a mile southeast of the airpark runway.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say a dispute between rival graffiti taggers led to the slaying of one Las Vegas 17-year-old and the arrest of another on an adult murder charge. Records show that Mauricio Antonio Mejia was arraigned yesterday on a charge that could get him life in prison in the fatal shooting of Angel Leon Campos.
