WASHINGTON (AP) — Environmental Protection Agency data shows the nation's power plants have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 13 percent since 2005. But that's not enough for the Obama administration. It will unveil a plan Monday to cut that earth-warming pollution from power plants by 25 percent by 2020 and 30 percent by 2030. The rule will become final a year from now,

WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says Congress wasn't told about the negotiations with the Taliban to exchange five Guantanamo detainees for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl because officials had to act quickly. Hagel says Berghahl's "safety and health were both in jeopardy." The Idaho soldier was held captive by Afghan militants for nearly five years and released on Saturday.

UNDATED (AP) — Philadelphia Inquirer co-owner Lewis Katz is being remembered by his friends and colleagues. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver calls the former New Jersey Nets owner "a visionary businessman who touched the lives of so many with his tireless pursuit of innovation and enterprise, as well as his deep commitment to his family, friends and community." Katz was killed Saturday night along with six other people in a fiery plane crash in Massachusetts.

MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, Wash. (AP) — An official at Mount Rainier National Park says there are no current plans to recover the bodies of six climbers who likely fell thousands of feet to their deaths. A spokeswoman says the area is too dangerous for rescuers. She says the area will be checked periodically by air in coming weeks and months.

CHICAGO (AP) — Alec Martinez scored at 5:47 of overtime, and the Los Angeles Kings beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 in Game 7 of the NHL Western Conference finals Sunday night. Los Angeles improved to seven for seven in elimination games this postseason and will host the New York Rangers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals on Wednesday night.
