BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police says a 31-year-old man and two juveniles were taken to a hospital after their car drove into Arrowrock Reservoir. The accident occurred about 11 p.m. Friday along Arrowrock Road. The ISP identified the man as Lawrence Lutton, of Lowden, Washington. It did not release details about the juveniles. The accident is under investigation.

ADA COUNTY, Idaho (AP) — Authorities are accusing a 31-year-old Caldwell woman of smuggling contraband into an Idaho prison. The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the contraband sent to an inmate at the Idaho Correctional Center included iPods and cellphones. The office says Danielle Pennington turned herself in to police last week. Sheriff's Office spokesman Patrick Orr tells the Idaho Press-Tribune the package had a false bottom.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — More than 150 airmen have returned to Mountain Home Air Force Base from a deployment to Afghanistan and Southwest Asia. The 726th Air Control Squadron returned on Friday. The squadron had been providing support in Afghanistan since January. The Air Force says the squadron's mission ranges from enemy surveillance to weapons control.

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — New research indicates the magma chamber underlying Yellowstone National Park may not be as volatile as previously believed. University of Utah geophysicist Bob Smith and a student used seismic data from 26 years of earthquakes to map the composition of the Yellowstone caldera. Their study revised the best estimate for the percentage of the magma chamber that is molten as opposed to solid.
