LAS VEGAS (AP) — Three Cuban immigrants have been found guilty of multiple charges in the theft of drugs and designer goods from delivery vans and warehouses in and around Las Vegas. U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden says Alexis Torres Simon, Julio De Armas Diaz and Alexander Del Valle Garcia could face decades in prison for their convictions on conspiracy, attempted interference with commerce by robbery and firearm charges.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a Las Vegas man has died after a shooting that also injured three others outside a Las Vegas hookah lounge. Clark County coroner's officials say 33-year-old Jean Claudel Mombo died of a gunshot wound to the torso. Police say the incident happened about 5:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the CEO Hookah Lounge on West Flamingo.
KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona authorities helped two Nevada residents who were stranded three days in Mohave County after their pickup got stuck in a wash. Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter says the couple from Las Vegas used a cellphone Sunday to contact authorities in neighboring La Paz County. They are said to be in good health.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A key prosecution witness is due to testify in the trial of a former Cirque du Soleil (sihrk doo soh-LAY') performer charged with killing, dismembering and trying to dispose of the body of a dancer in the Luxor hotel-casino's "Fantasy" revue. Trial continues today for Jason Omar Griffith in the December 2010 slaying of 31-year-old Deborah Flores Narvaez. Griffith has pleaded not guilty. He could face life in prison.
