This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

After 18 years in business, U.S. Translation Company's president and CEO David Utrilla (oo-tree-uh) couldn't be more excited with to see his business grow by 50 percent in 2013. David attributes this impressive success to his commitment to be the lowest risk in the business. Sometimes this may not equate to the lowest price, but in this business you can't afford mistakes. This is truly an example of getting what you pay for.

The quality of work U.S. Translation Company offers is that David finds the best linguists worldwide to get the top finished product. His experts on staff, an exclusive software system and his dedication to perfection have all been keys to his phenomenal success. In addition, he's also developed a customized software system for coordinating translation jobs worldwide, so therefore he has increased his business capacity. It's so efficient his competition wants to buy this system from David.

The Salt Lake City company translates over 100 languages including Pachto (pash-to), spoken in Iraq, and Dari, spoken in Afghanistan. The top two languages in demand are Spanish and French, but Chinese and Japanese are steadily increasing. After 9/11, U.S. Translation Company received a request to assemble training for our military. They learned this training could save a soldier's life because it helps them understand the language.

Because of the need for perfection this is a huge word of mouth business. U.S. Translation Company's global client base is continually referring the service out to friends and business associates. That's why the company now has 16 full-time employees and 2500 contracted linguists across the world. Not to mention they've served thousands of clients since their original launch almost 20 years ago.

After all his years in business, David and his wife, Krista, are really starting to enjoy some of the success of their labors with their four kids, with family travel time and other opportunities. Krista is a talented musician and has played with some of Salt Lake City's top orchestras while still supporting David and U.S. Translation Company.
