For your before-trip planning and booking, the just-launched app Flee takes basic information about travel dates, city of departure and budget and generates suggestions from experts and globetrotters. Though the current lineup of departing cities is limited to only major U.S. cities, the app offers easy-to-digest information about popular destinations.

aMetro
Once you reach your destination, you may need some help getting around. aMetro has compiled transit route maps and schemes from more than 180 cities throughout the world. It finds the shortest and closest route to its users, as well as stations.

Keep your travel budget in check with an expense report generator like Expensify. The app tracks your credit cards and bank accounts, pulls eReceipts and creates digital copies of paper receipts for you. If you're travelling for work, you can add in your mileage expenses with a GPS or odometer entry, too.
