This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Horsing around is all in a day's work for Terry Teeples.
For the past 20 years Terry has been involved with horse care and transportation through his business Terry Teeples Boarding Stables. Last fall he relocated and opened a new 15-acre ranch in Willard, designed to house up to 70 horses.
The full-care boarding facility comes complete with an insulated barn, covered stalls and an experienced staff of caregivers. The grounds have easy access to mountain trails, three arenas and horse rings in a natural environment away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Terry's staff also teaches basic horse riding lessons.
In addition to boarding, Terry offers a stud service. One of his studs, Proudest Effort, is the leading race horse sire in the Intermountain West. He also has horses for sale or lease for those who can't afford to purchase a horse of their own. In the summer time, Terry hosts a Work and Ride program where youth ages 11-17 can participate in all aspects of ranch work, and as payment, they get to ride horses.
Before moving to Willard, Terry had a successful boarding facility in South Jordan for 22 years. However, after he ran into complications with the city for having too many horses on his property, Terry decided to relocate, and in the process, expand. He hopes his ranch will become a destination not only for Utahns but also for out-of-state visitors who need to board their horses overnight. The facility is located only 10 minutes from the Golden Spike Fairgrounds in Ogden.
Because most Utahns live in metropolitan areas where they can't have horses, Terry hopes his clients will consider Terry Teeples Boarding Stables as their ranch. Clients can enjoy the clean facility with their horses when time permits, and Terry's staff feeds and takes care of the horses in the times between.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
